Classic Paragliding in Bir-Billing Overview
Bir is one of the best paragliding destinations in the World that offers unparalleled flying conditions and breathtaking views of the mountains and the valley. With the difference of about 1100m between the take-off and landing, the flight time is around 15-20 minutes. The entire trip experience takes around an hour and a half.

Your adventure starts immediately after the convenient pickup from your hotel or a prearranged point of departure. Take the thrilling ride to the 2500m high take-off point in Billing. Your pilot will brief you on your flight while you’re on the way to Billing.
On arriving at the take-off point, get fitted with a harness and helmet, and listen to the pilot’s instructions carefully. Your pilot is a highly trained and experienced paraglider.
Strap-in with your pilot and jog down a gentle slope until airborne. Relish the feeling of weightlessness as you glide like a bird over the Billing forest and gaze at the mighty Dhauladhar mountains. Sit back, relax, and enjoy your flight :-)

I initially just called them to check (because it is depends on the weather) and the team assured me that the weather is perfect for paragliding and asked me to book on their website. I have gone paragliding many times but the experience which the team took me through was the best I have ever experienced. I was unfortunate to take up only the classic package as the weather was not feasible for their prime or cross country packages. They usually have pick ups arranged from your hotel but they also have an office which I would recommend you to visit and meet the team responsible for making out experience surreal.

Thanks for the review, Himanshu! How long a paragliding flight lasts largely depends on variables like how strong the sun is at the time of the flight and the total weight the glider is flying. Since yours was an early morning flight, the sun is not strong enough to create enough thermals which give the glider its lift required to sustain a longer flight. Mr Shamsher, the pilot flying you, is one of the best XC pilots in Bir; and we strive to give you the best flying experience possible. But the rest is whatever the laws of Physics allow us ????
